Serious Gap in WinRAR Threating Millions Of Users
Researchers from the security company "Vulnerability Lab" revealed that the famous software "WinRAR" contains a serious gap threatens millions of users across the world and allow hackers to launch an attack to control users data.
The new gap has been discovered by security experts of Vulnerability Lab, and reports indicate that this serious gap the newly discovered is targeting mainly the files of the type SFX especially the latest version of the program WinRAR (WinRAR SFX v5.21) and allow hackers to inject malicious code in user's computer in the case of the latter opened files of SFX type and is what hackers can control the computer remotely without the knowledge of its owner.
RarLab company who developed the "WinRAR" invited users to the need not to open the files that generally coming from an untrusted source also denied that it comes from a gap and pointed out that this type of files could be easily integrated of malicious files on it and that SFX files are likely to be dengerous in nature.
And the security experts, pointed out that this gap is targeting 500 million user across the world and include all versions of the program.
